Family Sailing Holiday: Croatia 2019

A Yachting Adventure on the Beautiful Dalmatian Coast

Saturday 20th July – Saturday 27th July

Croatia is a world famous sailing destination: warm weather, steady moderate breezes, and many charming harbours add up to one of the best cruising grounds in Europe. After 3 years of UK family camps and the success of last year’s Family Canoe Expedition to Sweden, we would now like to offer ESOC families a unique opportunity to discover this coast for themselves. Our little fleet of yachts will explore the Islands of the Dalmatian coast and heading inland to the stunning waterfalls of the Krka National Park. Getting used to life on the water, shopping in local markets for provisions (or fishing for them!), and planning our course around the coast will provide unforgettable challenges and experiences for young and old.

The Boats

We are able to offer a couple of different options depending on the size of your family or group of friends to ensure the best fit. Each yacht will come with one of our ESOC skippers who will stay with your boat during the day to take responsibility for mooring up and casting off as well as sailing and navigation and running games and activities for the kids. All the skippers will sleep on a separate staff boat to leave the families to enjoy themselves in the evening.

For families who would like the option, we can also provide a cook to do all the shopping, cooking and clearing up for your boat.

Itinerary

During the cruise itself our itinerary will be determined by wind and sea conditions, but we will move between marinas and anchorages as we head towards Krka National park. We will either fly to Split or Zadar depending on which boats have been requested.
