WinterScape day 4

WinterScape day 4

Today the beginners (Scaffel pike) skied down a blue slope using a button lift for the first time and surprisingly no one fell! They were practising parallel skiing and snow plough turns and even skied down a red slope! Later on in the day they all, with the advanced, skied down two slopes to make their way down to the bus stop with a few crashes (but lets not mention those!).

In the morning, the intermediates (Snowdon) helped out the beginners whilst also practising down the same red slope and were given advice on what to change each time. They later left the beginners and got a bubble lift to the other side of the resort. They managed to do their first black slope and had lots of fun doing it!

Today the advanced (Ben Nevis) managed to do lots of black slopes and explored new areas in the resort. Later, in the afternoon, the advanced selflessly went to help the beginners.

At the end of the day, everyone was knackered. We all watched an old favourite of ours (Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday). We had a delicious dinner, which was gnocchi and chicken and played a competitive game of table football!

I’d like to add to this by saying that us leaders are enjoying the children’s company so much! They’re all fantastic team players and live up to the ESOC name. They’ve already become different people to those that we took on the plane on Saturday, with huge confidence boosts all round. The dream!

Apologies for the lack of photos today, the internet is painfully slow right now we are unable to upload photos today so we hope to make up for tomorrow.

Best, ESOC WinterScape team
