Today has been a great day to be out in the mountains! We woke up to overcast weather and a slight chill in the air, Our two groups had an action packed day; Group two walked over into the next valley to Derwent reservoir where they donned helmets and mountain biked along the side of the glassy water. They then had the chance to practice skill such as the “attack position” and track stands before playing some games and cycling back for a well deserved ice cream! Group one also donned helmets, climbing helmets this time; as they were headed straight for Stanage, one of the UK’s most famous climbing venues. There they were able to climb there in the morning before moving to Millers Dale to take on the 30m abseil that waited them!
